Story By Staff Writer Tyler Superczynski

LMRT as a whole had a great showing at Sunday’s Tim McKinney Rocks On GS at Whitetail. With podium finishes in U8 girls, U10 girls, U10 boys, and U14 boys, and really close in other categories.  It was an all-around success. Some of the highest highlights were: Brielle Superczynski winning gold in her PARA ski racing debut, Elle Awanohara winning the U10 girls, and almost a sweep in U14 boys.

U8

Our only U8 racer Brielle Superczynski did the future stars program proud, winning by nearly five seconds in the girls and beating all the U8 boys.

U10

In the girls we had a first place for Elle Awanohara with Talia (4), Elena (5), and Sabrina (8) not far behind. In the boys we had a third place finish for William Holden, and four other boys in the top ten: Desmo (5), Alexander (6), Colin (9), and Matthew (10).

U12

For girls there was no podiums but six in the top fifteen: Sienna (6), Tara (7), Claire S. (10), Sofia (11), Alienor (14), and Claire H. (15). For the boys we ran dry on podiums again but some that were not far off: Max (5), Junchao (7), and Jack (12).

U14

The Girls came just short of the spotlight with Hanna (6), Julietta (7), and Elizabeth (13). The boys on the other hand almost swept the podium With Tyler (2), and Charlie (3). They also had eight others in the top 15 with Armstrong (4), Lange (6 with a slide out), William (7), Ryan (9), Andrei (11), Casey (13), Diego (14), and Henry J rounding it out at fifteenth.  Rafael Perez-Rivera, despite a binding ejection at the start, came roaring back to lock in a top ten finish on his second run.  All of this on the heels of the Roundtop Slalom where LMRT picked up 11 of the top 13 finishes!

U16
