Dates & Times:

  • Tuesdays & Thursdays 6-9PM starting first Tuesday in January (snow depending) through the first Thursday in March.

  • Parents of attending athletes are expected to help with netting set-up & take-down or wireless timing each practice.
  • All U14 and older athletes are required to assist parents with B-netting set-up and take-down each practice.
  • All athletes are expected to slip and inspect the course when they arrive, and to help with slipping and pulling the course at the end of each practice.  See the LMRT Handbook for more information about weeknight training expectations.
  • All athletes are expected to ski slowly and in control (e.g. doing a technique drill) when not in the race course. Athletes that are caught skiing too fast, passing within extra close proximity to members of the public, skiing too fast into lift corrals, etc., may be asked to leave practice for the evening. Repeat offenses may result in permanent expulsion from the Weenight Training program.

Meeting Place:

  • Athletes are to meet coaches at the top of the training course at the start of practice to help with setting, slip the course, etc.
  • Before each practice, Coaches will post the the location of the training trail and other important instructions on the LMRT bulletin board located in the lower level of the main lodge near snowboard rental shop.

  • Weeknight training is mileage in the gates with limited coaching feedback.
  • Coaches staff the course and athletes are not continually supervised.
  • The LMRT Calendar on this site indicates whether we are training GS or Slalom each practice, but it is subject to change due to conditions, so we recommend that you bring equipment for both events each night.
  • Generally, Tuesday is GS and Thursday is slalom, but check the calendar and it is subject to change due to conditions.
  • Coaches will use wireless timing periodically throughout the season.

  • Open to LMRT's U14-U21 athletes, as well as second-year U12 athletes with coach permission. (See the LMRT Handbook for more details.)

  • Weeknight training is included in LMRT's Travel Team Programs for no additional fee.
