    • FAQ's regarding APT for Adult Athletes
    • Athlete's with Disabilities exception:
      • From USA Swimming - We have received inquiries as to how to apply the adult athlete APT training requirement to adult athletes with cognitive delays or disabilities. USA Swimming encourages people with disabilities to participate in the sport of swimming and facilitates their inclusion in USA Swimming programs through education and collaboration. In furtherance of that commitment, USA Swimming is working to implement a policy to include athletes with disabilities in the adult athlete APT requirement. Recognizing the need to a comprehensive policy while being mindful of the July 23, 2019, end to the initial 30-day grace period, USA Swimming is providing an exception to the adult athlete APT requirement of membership for athletes with disabilities for this year.

Please provide the names and member information for any impacted athletes to [email protected]. USA Swimming will update the athlete’s member record to reflect an expiration date of 7/23/2020 and will communicate the future policy once it is in place.
