Senior/Age Group Coach. This position reports directly to the STINGRAYS Head Coach and Lead Coach.

Administrative responsibilities assigned by the head coach and lead coach
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years of coaching experience in a competitive swim environment.
• Extensive experience as a member of a competitive swim team will be highly valued.
• Ability to meet all USA/Georgia Swimming certification and coaching requirements (CPR, Safety Training for Swim Coaches, USA Swimming Background Check, Athlete Protection, First Aid, Concussion, etc.).
• Experience with implementing dryland training programs for swimmers.
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred).

Position Information
Description: Under limited supervision, this job is responsible for leading and assisting in the creation of a competitive swim program within the guidelines of the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association and U. S. Swimming. Responsibilities include coordinating and organizing swimming teams and programs and maintaining swimmers’ times and records. Reports to the Carrollton Superintendent of Athletics.
Training and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in physical education; with 3-5 years of competitive coaching experience in swim team coordination and coaching or a related area; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position. Must obtain ASCA and USA Swimming membership. Must possess a valid driver’s license, training in first aid and CPR. Must be certified as a Lifeguard Training and Water Safety Instructor by the American Red Cross or complete the American Red Cross Coaches Training Course. Must possess very strong communication skills and ability to relate well to athletes, parents, staff, and co-workers.
Physical Requirements: Must be physically able to operate a variety of office related machines, tools, equipment, etc., such as a calculator, copier, supplies, etc. Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or materials. Must be able to exert up to twenty pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to ten pounds of force frequently. Physical demand requirements are at levels of those for active work. Must be able to lift and/or carry weight of twenty to forty pounds.

The Columbus Aquatic Club Hurricanes Swim Team is seeking energetic, motivated, and highly skilled applicants for a full-time, year-round, salaried Head Swim Coach position. HURR is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization overseen by a member elected Board of Directors that has approximately 165 swimmers ranging from 5 to 18 years old and representing ability levels from beginner to the highest levels of USA Swimming. The Columbus Hurricanes Swim Team is committed to teaching and developing participants in the sport of swim. We believe swimming is a medium through which teamwork, leadership, responsibility, self-discipline, determination, and sportsmanship are instilled into the character of our members. Our mission is to develop the leaders of tomorrow through competitive swimming.
Responsibilities Include:
Provide training appropriate for swim club members to include but not limited to the following:
- Develop season and practice goals for all training groups (Categories 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Senior, Masters, and Pre-Competitive) to meet the program’s goals.
- Develop season training plans for stroke technique progression and dryland progression, as appropriate, for all levels and effectively communicate to swimmers and coaches.
- Coach specific training groups on a daily basis and other groups on a temporary basis as may be required to maintain the continuity of the training groups.
- Establish a culture that fosters team values and provides a stable, professional, and positive environment for all members and staff.
Provide supervision and direction of coaching duties to include but not limited to the following:
- Supervise staff and oversee the training of new coaches. Assign coaches to training groups and ensure adequate coverage is provided for each practice session.
- Recruit, supervise, and mentor Assistant Coaches to ensure a reliable, cohesive, and positive environment with an emphasis on teamwork and personal growth. Ensure appropriate coach coverage for practice sessions.
- Determine coach coverage at meets – attend majority of meets personally.
- Communicate between coaches, athletes, and parents regarding training and competition.
- Provide a training environment that is compliant with all applicable Club, Georgia Swimming, Inc (GASI), and USA Swimming regulations, including current Safe Sport policies.
- Promote and model sportsmanship including mutual respect in the Coach-Swimmer, Coach-Parent, and Coach-Official relationships.
Provide leadership and oversight of administrative duties to include but not limited to the following:
- Be the face of the team build positive and productive relationships with facility managers, local community leaders, team member parents/guardians, and the team members themselves.
- Serve as liaison with the pool management and staff to determine availability and schedule pool use.
- Provide effective and timely communication in a timely manner to maintain the trust and confidence of the team membership.
- Direct marketing efforts to recruit new athletes at all ages and competition levels.
- Prepare and present monthly Coach’s Report at Board Meetings; attend all team Board meetings and GASI House of Delegates (HOD) meetings.
- Manage the meet calendar, entries, and results. Recruit visiting swim teams for home meets. Oversee registration of home and away meets.
- In coordination with the Board of Directors, assist in the planning of home meets, team travel, team fundraising, and team social functions.
- Recruit volunteers to assist as officials, timers, and others as necessary to assist with meets and team functions.
Qualifications:
- Preferred minimum of 5 years of coaching experience in a competitive swim environment.
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree and ASCA Level 3 or higher.
- Extensive experience as a member of a competitive swim team will be highly valued.
- Experience in developing swimmers from entry level swimmers to Junior National and/or elite levels.
- Experience with implementing dryland training programs for swimmers.
- Ability to work well with and effectively communicate with swimmers, parents, and staff.
- Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Hy-Tek and Team Unify; Basic financial skill set including but not limited to P&L statements and budget process.
- Enthusiasm for continuing coaching education
- Maintain all swim coaching certifications required by, and remain in good standing with, USA Swimming and Georgia Swimming, Inc, including being current on all background checks.
- Must have the legal right to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship will not be provided.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary is commensurate with coaching experience ranging from $50,000 – $70,000 per year Annual stipend for health insurance

Dynamo Swim Club
POSITION: Dynamo Swim Club located in Atlanta, GA is seeking qualified applicants for the
position of Assistant Coach. We are looking for a passionate and energetic coach that will fill a
full-time coaching position at our Alpharetta location. The ideal candidate will work with both
age group and senior training groups, with the opportunity for future upward growth within the
program. This position reports directly to the Head Age Group Coach and Associate Head Coach.
BACKGROUND: For over 50 years, Dynamo Swim Club has continually grown and developed
into a model 18 & under swim club in the United States. Since the early 1980s, Dynamo
swimmers have represented the United States at the Olympic Games, World Championships,
the Pan American Games, Pan Pacific Championships, The Goodwill Games, and the World
University Games. We are a USA Swimming Podium Club of Excellence, and our program
consistently has some of the highest Scholastic All Americans recognitions in the country. The
American Swimming Coaches Association has repeatedly recognized Dynamo’s exceptional
training and stroke technique which has resulted in individual and team titles at USA Swimming
National and Junior National Championships. Dynamo was represented by four swimmers in
Tokyo, Japan for the 2021 Olympics and Paralympics (including medalists Brooks Curry, Jay
Litherland, and Gia Pergolini). Most recently our men’s team were champions at the 2022
Speedo Junior National Championships in Irvine, California.

The purpose of this job is responsibility for Assisting in coaching the USA Pelicans Swim Team
and all associated duties.
SALARY: $19.26 per hr
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
