You can now order Navy Seals clothing items online! You need to log in, then click on the BYNS Clothing Order link in the Member Links section.
The personalization on the hoodie will be below the hood on the back. The Under Armour shirts will be embroidered, similar to the coaches/officials' shirts.
The orders must be PLACED by 11/27/09. The checks must be received in the Coates' folder by 11/29/09. Our goal is to place the order by 11/30/09. We will do our best to get them back in time for Christmas. Please make checks payable to Boyertown Area YMCA.

Food Donations for Home Meets

The dual meet season gets under way starting this weekend and we need to replenish our supplies for the concession stand. I'm told we especially need donations of water, Gatorade, and money (for ice, pretzels, and to fill in where donations fall short). You can sign up to donate the same way you do for volunteer jobs, just log into your account on the website and click the Food Donations link in the teal box.
As discussed in the parent's meeting, there are a number of expenses that go into running a successful swim program for our kids, and the concession stand is one of the big money makers for the team. Please try to contribute what you can, your donations a very much appreciated!

It has been asked that if you signed up to bring drinks for the Boo, if you could please bring them by Saturday night and put under the swim table so that they will be able to be iced before the meet. Also, if you will not be here until the afternoon, please don't sign up for breakfast/morning items (doughnuts, bagels, etc.). Finally, if you signed up for Diet Coke, Diet Pepsi is an acceptable substitue or Coke Zero, but please no flavored sodas (i.e. Diet Lemon Coke). They don't sell as well. Thank you.

Mako Sharks Team Picnic

Our annual Mako Sharks team picnic will be held on Wednesday, August 5th from 5pm to 8:30pm at the Boyertown Community Pool and Park. The rain date is Friday, August 7th. Dinner will be served in the pavilion, followed by a recreational swim in the community pool (7-8:30pm). Please log on to the team website and sign up to bring a side or dessert.

Novice Meet Information

NOVICE MEET VOLUNTEERS AND CONCESSION DONATIONS
Boyertown and Amity swim clubs have shared in successfully running the Novice Meet for the past three years. Although it is a meet appreciated most by our young swimmers and their parents, asking for parents to volunteer one more time and donate food one more time, is best summarized by an exhausted sigh and a mumbled, "I did my share," or "Love to help...but we'll be on vacation." So, thank you in advance to those of you who are able to reach just a little more to support our swim program after a long season. That extra reach is what has made us--and our kids--so strong.
The Novice Meet is a National Team fundraiser. National swimmers must work the meet to earn financial credits towards their expenses for Winter Nationals 2010. National swimmers need to be at Amity Pool by 4:30 p.m. and expect to stay until it is over, around 10:30 p.m. National swimmers should report to Jodi Corbett, who has a national team volunteer roster for the them to sign in and sign out of the meet.
We also encourage parents who have a child swimming at Novice to volunteer time at the meet since many families take vacation after the regular summer swim season is over.
We will need at least six Boyertown parents to arrive early, 3:00 p.m., the day of the meet to help set up tents, concessions, timing system, heat benches, ect.
Along with volunteering, we also need parents to donate food for the concession stand. Signup for meet volunteers and concession donations will be posted at the website.

Team Gift - Parents can order one for themselves

The Mako Sharks team gift has been selected for this year. The gift will be a white 50/50 cotton blend tank top. All swimmers on the team will receive a tank top as a gift from the Mako Sharks Parent Association.
Parents may ordera team tank top by filling out the form below. The order and payment are due to the "Parent Tank Top" file on the team table at the Y. The orders are due on 7/20/09. The final order will be placed on 7/21/09.
