Food Pantry Donations

Thanks to everyone who donated food to the Jeruselum Community Food Pantry; we delivered over 250 collected food items and $8 cash today. We were literally filling shelves that were close to empty and the food was being pulled for the needy families as we were stocking the donated cans and boxes!

YMCA Officials' Clinic

There will be two Officials' clinic at the Boyertown Area YMCA. On October 10th, 1:00 in the Multi-Purpose room, there will be a Level 1 clinic. On October 21st, 6:00 p.m., in the Kindergarten room, there will be a Level 2 clinic. You must be a level 1 before you can become a level 2. Each class should last about 3 hours. Navy Seals Swim Team Registration

Our highly successful winter swim team accommodates swimmers ages 6 to 18 and involves all ability levels. The 2009-2010 season begins 9/13 for the Gold and Silver practice groups and 9/20 for the Bronze, Navy, Teal and 8 & younger groups.
Registration will be required for returning Navy Seals swimmers who have not registered in the year-round program on 9/9, 6-7:30pm, 9/13, 5-6:30pm or by appointment 9/7 through 9/10, 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. with Jayna Miller* Those who registered in our year-round program in May are not required to re-register. All swimmers must be registered before beginning practice.
New and prospective swimmers: An overview of our program will be given and questions will be answered by head coach, Linda Jones: experienced swimmers on 9/9, 6-7 p.m. and swimmers new to winter competitive swimming on 9/10, 6-7 p.m.
Final registration and payment dates for new swimmers will be 9/27, 5:30-7 p.m.; 9/30, 6-7:30 p.m., or by appointment, 9/28 and 9/29, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. with Jayna Miller*
All team members are required to have a YMCA Wellness membership.

Team Equipment Orders

It's time to place your annaul equipment order. D & J Sport will be at the Y from 5:00-7:30pm on Sunday, September 26, 2009. Many cash and carry equipment items will be available for purchase.
For your convenience an equipment order form is available below. All payment/orders that will not be turned into D & J Sports (at the Y) on Sunday, September 26 are due to the "Equipment Orders" file on the team table at the Y no later than Friday, September 24, 2010. These forms are also available on the team table.
Items on the form include: team suits, snorkels, training fins, hand paddles, team meet bag and personalized team caps (silicone and latex).
All swimmers need to have their own pair of training fins
Swimmers are encouraged to try on sample suits to determine the best size for their team suit. The team meet bag and personalized team caps are custom items and cannot be returned or exchanged. The purchase of a team suit is encouraged, but is optional.
Team suits will be delivered to the Boyertown BOO on Sunday, October 24, 2010.

Team Suit & Equipment Orders Due 09/29/08

D & J Sport will be at the Y from 4:30-6:30pm on Sunday, September 28, 2008. The will have many cash and carry equipment items available for purchase.
Swimmers are encouraged to try on sample suits to determine the best size for their team suit. The team suits are navy blue w/ a white imprint of BYNS. The team suit is a custom order and cannot not be returned or exchanged. The purchase of a team suit is encouraged, but is optional.
Orders for suits and equipment must be returned to the "Equipment Orders" folder on the team table no later than Monday, September 29, 2008. (New swimmers registering for the team Tuesday, September 30 may place their order at their registration)
Delivery date is Sunday, October, 26, 2008 during the Boo Inviational. Pick up your items at the D&J Sports table.
2010 Mako Sharks Banquet

County t-shirts orders are due no later than this Tuesday, July 27th, 2010. Cost is $3.85 up through XL, XXL is 6.10 each and XXXL is 7.10 each. Color is dark pink with white imprint. Order forms are available in the folder at the outdoor pool and there is a folder there also to place completed order forms. You can also give the orders to Patti Coates or Sue Grofe. If you are not sure if your swimmer is going to Counties, please speak with Coach Jill.

2010 Long Course Food Donations

Food donations are now up on the website. Please login and signup for your donation. A couple of notes regarding food donations:
1. Please follow the donation directions as listed. This helps the concession stand save time throughout the meet AND keeps pricing more consistent. We want happy customers.
2. Please label all containers that you wish to have returned and make sure you pick them up at the end of the meet. Serving utensils are not needed--the team has their own supply.
3. Monetary donations should be submitted by Friday, June 18th.
4. Drink donations should be brought to the outdoor practice the week of the meet. Gale Fritch will be there between 9:15-9:30 each day to pick up your donations. If you cannot be there at these times, please contact Gale Fritch (contact information will be posted on the food signup page). Please DO NOT drop drink donations off at the YMCA.
5. Food donations should be delivered as early as possible the day of the meet, preferable no later than when your swimmer arrives for warm-ups.
Thanks so much for everyone's help! Let's make this a great year for the Long Course Invitational!
Year Round Registration Information

The Boyertown Area YMCA Navy Seals Year Round program registrations are Wednesday, April 21 and Sunday, April 25, 2010 from 6-7:30pm at the Boyertown Area YMCA, Daniel B. Boyer Center, Swim Team Office. Swimmers registering for this program after 4/25/10 will be charged a late registration fee.
Practices for Senior, Gold, Silver, and Bronze practice groups begin on Tuesday, April 20, 2010.
Registration in our Year Round program includes: spring/summer/fall/winter and USS training, 2011 USS membership, Boyertown Community Pool Mako Shark swim team and league championship fees, Boyertown Area YMCA Navy Seals swim team and league championship fees.
Registration in our Year Round Program does not include: Boyertown Area YMCA wellness membership, Boyertown Community Pool membership, optional meet entry fees, equipment or fundraiser fee(s).
Year Round team fees can be paid with a check, Mastercard, Visa, Discover or by EZPay. EZPay is an 8 month (May 15 through Dec. 15, 2010) deduction from a checking or saving account. A voided check is needed to process EZPay applications.

The current postings of starting dates for Year round on our web site calendar are incorrect. The starting date is Tuesday April 20th. Registration dates as posted on the web site will remain the same. Only swimmers currently enrolled, have spoken to me personally, or that attended the meeting may sign up at this time. Space is limited and I would need to see the numbers of each practice group before opening up the enrollment. Once I see who is there I can let others join if space is available.

For those parents that have been taking pictures and might like to share them with the rest of the team, I've created a Shutterfly site. For now I've set it up so that people will need to create an account before they can upload or view photos, however it's a free service.
I set it up that way so that only team members could view the photos, and they're not available to the entire internet. However, if people start using the site and I get feedback that they'd prefer it to more open so that firends and familiy can view the pictures then that's easy enough to change.
So, if you have any photos you'd like to share (BYNS, high school, or Mako Shark) click here to create an account. I've also added a link to the site in the Member Links section that you can get to once you're logged in.
