SENIOR USA Team training group

The SENIOR training group has options suitable for any level athlete. Regardless which group your SENIOR swimmer is in, the coaches will ensure they get the most out of their time spent at practice. Every swimmer's goals are important and BLUE is committed to helping achieve them.

SENIOR offers practices either 3 or 6 days per week only at our Nazareth location. This group is built to be extremely flexible allowing a BLUE athlete to easily manage their training schedule along with other activities they enjoy.

SENIOR AP (Advanced Placement) offers practices 6 days per week and has the following requirements:

  • Must be a 5-6 day a week swimmer (with 90% attendance)
  • Will be required to participate in strength training and conditioning as directed by the coaching staff
  • Athletes need to be humble, hungry and demonstrate a strong respect for their training partners, teammates, team, coaching staff and the sport of swimming. This includes but is not limited to:

    • Working to the best of his/her ability throughout the practice with mindful determination
    • Listening carefully when the coach is explaining drills, sets or other focus points of each set throughout the practice
    • All actions facilitate a safe and supportive environment for every team member - positivity, respect, cooperation, team and individual integrity
    • Being willing to help other teammates when called on
    • Coming in with the attitude that; no one is larger than the team
    • Ready to help set up, breakdown or clean up when called on to help
  • Athletes must complete 10 hours of volunteering annually with BLUE. If an athlete has a proposal for a volunteer opportunity, they may present it to the coaches for consideration. This is in addition to any volunteer obligation set forth by the Board of Directors on a per family basis per year.
