Because he always keeps the atmosphere lively, we like to call Bode I. Groh “Notorious B.I.G.” Always the last one out of the pool, one of the hardest working swimmers on the team, 11 years old and 4'8” tall, Bode never gives up. At USA Silver Championships, he swam a demanding schedule which included 6 individual events and 2 relays over just 2 days. This Trials/Finals meet in York, PA started early with warmup for Prelims at 6:30am and ended each night with the Top 16 swimming again at Finals ending at 8:30pm.

Bode charged through the meet with best times in 5 of his 6 events; missed a best in the other by .02 seconds; made finals in everything and finished with 70 points. His performance was incredible and it gives the coaches great pleasure to honor him as MA Silver Champs – Swimmer of the Meet. Well done!
