WAHOOS SHINE IN SOUTH JERSEY HIGH SCHOOL SEASON (corrected)


The announcement of the 2018-19 SJISA ALL-SOUTH JERSEY TEAMS marked the end of an incredibly successful High School season for Wahoos swimmers.

A total of 13 girls & 4 boys were named to this years SJISA ALL-SOUTH JERSEY Team, pictured below.

This Team is a reflection of the swimmers’ performances at the New Jersey High School Meet of Champions, where Wahoos swimmers took home 3 Gold, 5 Silver & 1 Bronze medals.

Wahoos also played their part in contributing to their High School Teams’ massive successes : 

Cherry Hill East were the Boys Group 1 Champions with contributions from Michael Sommeling, Aidan Simms, Michael Treglia, Robbie Thompson, James Nguyen& Dov Schwartz.

Moorestown Girls were the Group B Champions with contributions from Emily Wisniewski, Ally Waggoner, Holly Robinson, Katerina Poulathas, Demi Poulathas & Annabel Gorman.

Haddonfield Girls were the Group C Champions with contributions from Katharine Skelly, Maria Jellig, Sydney Mullen, Lilly Derivaux, Ava Berzanski, Sophia Rollo, Carly Grffin, Abby Gramigna & Anya Lee.

Commenting on this success Wahoos Director of Swimming Paul Donovan said; we are delighted for the swimmers and the contribution they have made to bringing success to their respective schools. We see High School swimming as an integral part of our local swimming community and we work to support it by building it in to our planning and goals for the season. It is such a great platform for the swimmers to show their best and we could not be more proud of them.

Moorestown Senior Josh Fong, who won his first individual title this season added; States is an exciting meet for Wahoos. Having it built in to our training plan allows us to put our best foot forward and the results show that. It is a great opportunity to complement the training we do at Wahoos with the top competition in the state every year. It is exciting to see how well Wahoos represents itself at this level.
