JERSEY WAHOOS SUMMER PROGRAMS 2019

Our Spring program concludes Thursday, May 23rd with the launch of our summer season on Tuesday, May 28th. Year-round swimming is a cornerstone of the Wahoos philosophy. We are delighted to be able to offer increased training opportunities this summer that will benefit each athlete from a technical and conditioning perspective. Ultimately it will provide each athlete a head start on the competition when they return to the regular programming on Tuesday, September 3rd.

National Team

This group is a combination of year-round Senior A1 & Senior group swimmers, with additional athletes invited to attend by the coaching staff. The expectation is the athletes are committed to attending the full amount of weekly training sessions as well as the listed meets, unless agreed upon in advance with the coaching staff.

Non year-round members of Wahoos should contact the coaching staff directly with any queries regarding joining the group for any period of time.

May 28th - June 20th Summer LC PM schedule is in operation

  • Mon through Fri at Ramblewood from 3:15-5:30PM
  • Mon/Wed/Fri AM as normal at Wahoos
  • Sat AM as normal at Wahoos/Giant Fitness

Dryland information to follow

  • June 24th -  Aug 1st Summer LC AM schedule is in operation
  • Mon through Fri at Ramblewood 07:00-09:30 AM
  • Mon through Thu at Giant Fitness 3:00-5:00PM
  • Sat AM at Giant Fitness TBD

Age Group Team (JRA1)

This group is made up of Junior A1 swimmers and invited swimmers from other Wahoos squads. The expectation is the athletes are committed to attending the full amount of weekly training sessions as well as the listed meets, unless agreed upon in advance with the coaching staff.

  • Sat AM at Wahoos 09:00am - 11:00am

June 24th - Aug 1st Summer LC AM schedule is in operation

  • Mon through Thurs at Ramblewood 09:30-11:00AM
  • Mon through Thurs at Giant Fitness 05:00-06:30PM

Junior Team Program

This training opportunity is geared towards swimmers aged 11 & Under with competitive swimming experience or looking to enter year-round swimming in September.

The focus is on introducing the technical foundations of all (4) strokes and improving the essential race skills, starting, turning, break-outs and finishes. A secondary focus is on introducing core training concepts and training etiquette.

May 28th - June 20th

  • Mon - Thu 06:30pm -07:45pm at Wahoos

June 24th - Aug 1st

  • Mon - Thu 06:30pm - 07:45pm at Giant Fitness

Senior Team Program

This training group is geared towards swimmers aged 12 & Over with competitive swimming experience.

The focus is on improving the swimmers training foundations, technically and physically as well as introducing key concepts around speed development and using competition goals to improve your level of training.

June 24th - Aug 1st

  • Mon - Thu 07:45pm - 09:00pm at Giant Fitness
