At the YMCA State Meet at BYB, Caden LaPlante (MMD) broke the 9-10 50 fly record! His time of 29.07 broke the record of 29.52 set by Robby Gravel (SEAL) in 2002!! That time puts him 4th in the country this year!! Congratulations!

At the TAC meet in Cary, NC, Juliana McDonald (LRSC) swam a time of 26.06 in the 50 LCM Freestyle breaking her own record of 26.31! Congratulations!

Some interesting history on Maine State Swimming records keeping!!! 1. 10 & under 25-yard records were discontinued in the mid to late 1960-s. 2. For the 1979-80 season, official “senior or open” division, separate from 15-18 records were kept. 3. Official 8 & under records began to be kept with the 1984-85 season. 4.
