This is a long newsletter with a LOT of information! Apologies for the length but please do take a moment and read all the way through.

First up, We are Kicking Off our Summer Swim Season with a team swim party!

Friday, June 7th from 6:30-7:30pm at the Baker Park lap pool and mulch area.

ALL of our Baker Park and PAY Summer Swim Team swimmers (every age group!) is encouraged to come out for this hour of fun!  Please Commit on the Event on our website so we know how many soft pretzels to order for the swimmers. There will be team building, relay races and lots of other fun land activities planned!  The hour long party will have Activities organized by Coach Dan and other coaches.  A Job Signup Tab is attached to this event on our website for families to donate additional Snacks for the swimmers and for a few parents to volunteer to help the coaches oversee the organized activities.

Coaches Corner:

The practice calendar for the next two weeks has been updated to reflect a few changes.  Note the changes will go into effect starting Tuesday, June 4.  Monday, June 3 will run as previously scheduled.

Note we have made changes to the start time of Gold practice to allow for more time for swimmers to get to the pool after school has ended.  This affects the start time of the Gold and Silver groups, as both will be pushed back 45 minutes.  The Bronze and Blue will start 15 minutes earlier.

Also please note that the Blue and Bronze groups will run from 6:30-7:30 PM.  We will split the Blue and Bronze groups and send some swimmers to Heritage pool and have some swimmers practice in Myrin pool.

The coaches will be getting the Blue swimmers out of the water after about 45 minutes.  Many of them are 5-6 years old and 45 minutes is about the right amount of time for that group.

Please note we will be starting Nat and Pre Nat practices at 3:45 PM.

Friday, June 7th’s practice schedule has been adjusted to allow for time to have the “Baker Park/Kickoff” PAY party after practice.  Note that due to the party and to a synchronized swimming competition being held indoors that we will not hold Blue, Bronze, or Silver practices, but those swimmers will be invited to attend the party; and we will be running the 13 & Over practice until 6:15.  13 & O swimmers will have about an hour of dry-land scheduled after their practice.  We hope this encourages them to stay and be a part of the party with the younger kids!

We have had to move Saturday, June 8th’s National/Pre-National practice start time to 10:15 due to a coaches’ education clinic being held at the YMCA.

With the Bucknell meet being June 14, we will not hold any AM LC practices, and we will have a combined National, Pre National, and Senior practice from 4-6 PM.  All other practices will run as scheduled.
