UPCOMING MEETS or DEADLINES:

  1. Winterfest is now YorkFest - Please remember to cancel your hotel in Maryland as that meet had to be cancelled and we are headed to York, PA.  Coaches will provide additional info via email on warmups/reporting times.

  2. January 22 HOME DUAL MEETS versus UMLY - deadline for all PAY swimmers to commit or decline this meet on our website or HERE is THIS Saturday.

HIGH SCHOOL MEETS: As our High School swimmers continue their competitions, remember that it is possible to achieve a QT for YMCA District competition at a High School meet. We can accept high school meet results for new qualifying events but not to improve a seed time for an existing cut. Should you achieve a qualifying time, please have your coach print a copy of the result, have it signed by the Meet Referee and forward a copy (in case we need proof of time) to Rachel Carroll ([email protected]) so she can add it to our database.

SUPER SENIORS: Congratulations to Brynn Romberger (currently at Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School) who will continue her academic and athletic career at Florida Institute of Technology!  She plans on studying Civil Engineering and rowing and possibly swimming.

THANK YOU: Thank you to all the adult and teen volunteers who helped us host the two dual meets and the Masters Meet this past weekend.  The meets all ran smoothly and it looked like the swimmers had fun.   In particular, we had Masters Swimmers attending as old as 86 years old and from as far away as Florida and Connecticut! Here is an example of a thank you email I received after hosting our event yesterday: “Thank you for an awesome opportunity to swim. With all the Covid  issues, closures, lockdowns, etc., your meet was an awesome opportunity to remember what made Masters Swimming fun. Clean facility, food/snacks, congenial officials and volunteers....All I can say is "Thank You".  It was an awesome day!

LOST AND FOUND: LOST one boys blue TYR team suit, size 30.  FOUND one girls blue TYR team suit.  FOUND several pull buoys from recent practices.  Please reply if you found or lost any of these.

In general, if your swimmer loses an item on deck then the item is placed in the bin on the shelves in the Myrin pool deck.  At times things are unintentionally pushed behind the bins or shelves so look carefully if you are missing an item.  There are also random girls bathing suits found in the past that seem to be hanging in the coaches office so ask a lifeguard to check those if your swimmer lost a girls suit awhile ago.  If your swimmer loses an item in the locker rooms or lobby then the YMCA tends to place those collected items in the YMCA’s general lost and found.  The front desk can provide you with information on that location.
