USA Swimming requires meet marshals to be on deck before, during, and after all swim meets (including warm-up as well as swimmer arrival and departure).

GPAC asks all meet marshals (formerly referred to as the "safety" position at GPAC hosted swim meets) to train, test, and adhere to all requirements of the USA Swimming Meet Marshal program. This position helps to ensure that all activities during the swim meet are safe and up to USA Swimming, GPAC, and GCIT standards.

You can view the USA Swimming Meet Marshal Training Handbook HERE.

By completing the course and test, you are not only helping us run safer swim meets, you are also ensuring these meets are safe for the athletes, coaches, officials, and volunteers attending.
