DEVELOPMENTAL WHITE
The Developmental White program is designed to develop and refine the four competitive strokes. The majority of time is spent working on refining stroke mechanics. These swimmers have started to exhibit good swimming skills and will be introduced to some training skills and processes.
DEVELOPMENTAL BLUE
The Developmental Blue program is designed to prepare swimmers for competitive training. Stroke development and refinement continue in this group. The Developmental Blue will also be introduced to low-impact interval training and race strategies and preparation.
AGE GROUP WHITE
The Age Group White program is designed to get swimmers started in competitive swimming. These swimmers have started to exhibit good swimming skills. They spend their time equally between stroke technique and training skills and processes. These swimmers are well-versed in technique and strategy. They are also a full-fledged training group.
AGE GROUP BLUE
The Age Group Blue program is the higher end of our age-group program. Swimmers continue the progression and increase the volume and intensity of their daily training. Stroke refinement continues and a greater focus is placed on race strategy and preparation. Athletes in this group are setting higher goals for themselves and are working with their coach to determine "what it takes" to achieve those goals. Dry-land training continues and athletes are exposed to low-impact core-strength training and stretching through this program.
JUNIOR WHITE
This group is allotted more time and continues the progression as swimmers move forward and increase the volume and intensity of their daily training. Stroke refinement continues and a greater focus is placed on race strategy and preparation. There is an increase in yardage to prepare the swimmers for the workload given in the next group (Senior White). Dry land training continues and athletes are exposed to low-impact core-strength training, stretching and nautilus use through this program.
SENIORS
The Senior White consists of High School swimmers and other swimmers that exhibit a high level of swimming and workout ability. These swimmers are expected to be mature, dedicated, responsible, and dependable. Athletes in this group are training at higher volumes and paces with more focus on endurance-based outcomes in their performance. Goal setting is an important part of this group, as these swimmers are looking to continually progress through the EAAC program and the world of swimming. Dry-land training becomes more intense at this level and is stressed throughout the season.
