Kathryn Scheuer - UDAC Director, Girls’ SAL Head Coach

Kathryn began her swimming career at Manorlu Swim Club and soon after joined Abington Dolphins and then Lower Moreland Aquatic Club. As a member of the Upper Dublin High School women’s team, Kathryn helped lead the team to two consecutive District One Championship and PIAA State Championship titles. Individually, Kathryn was a district and state qualifier all four years of her high school swimming career. After high school, Kathryn continued swimming at La Salle University. After a career ending  injury, Kathryn moved from the role of swimmer to the role of assistant coach at La Salle. While in this position, she helped lead the women’s team to their first ever NCAA qualifying swimmer. After graduation, Kathryn continued her coaching career at Hawk Hill Swim Team, eventually becaming the owner, program director, and head coach. Additionally, Kathryn coached Merion Mercy Academy for 10 seasons, and Waldron Mercy Academy for five years.

Kathryn joined UDAC as the head SAL girls’ coach and Director of Aquatics in 2008. Kathryn has worked with swimmers of varying levels, including Junior Olympic qualifiers, District Champions, State Champions, Senior National and Junior National qualifiers, as well as Olympic Trial qualifiers.  Kathryn has been a member of the Middle Atlantic Swimming Board of Directors, in various capacities, since 2012, and is currently a member of the USA Swimming Convention Education Committee, a national committee appointment. In 2014, Kathryn was named the Mid-Atlantic Volunteer of the Year, and in 2016 USA Swimming awarded Kathryn a Lifetime Membership.


Kathryn graduated from LaSalle University, where she majored in Criminal Justice and Political Science.  

Geoff Scheuer - UDAC Head Coach

Geoff Scheuer started his swimming and coaching career at Manorlu Swim Club.  In 1999 Geoff became an assistant for both Upper Dublin Aquatic Club and the Upper Dublin High School men’s team.  Geoff served as an assistant for UDAC for six years before becoming Head Coach in the fall of 2005.

During Geoff’s tenure, UDAC has become a powerhouse in the SAL by winning numerous division and league championship titles. As the Upper Dublin High School men’s coach, Geoff has led the boys’ team to unprecedented levels of success, and the team has become a powerhouse in the state of Pennsylvania.  During Geoff’s tenure, the team has produced multiple All-Americans, Academic All-Americans, NCAA Division 1 swimmers, and the team GPA has consistently been among the highest in the school, state, and nation. The UDHS boys team has won four District One titles (2008, 20012, 2013, and 2016) and holds several District and State event records.  In 2013 the team placed 3rd in the PIAA State Championship meet. In 2016, the team placed second in the State Championship and was named Swimming World Magazine US National Public School Champions.


Equally with UDAC, Geoff has coached swimmers to elite levels of success. Throughout Geoff’s tenure, UDAC has produced swimmers that have achieved champion status in the Mid Atlantic Junior Olympic Championships, the Middle Atlantic Senior Championships, Sectional,  and National Championships. In 2015, Geoff was named as a coach to the 2015 Junior World Team and traveled to Singapore for the FINA Junior World Championship. In 2016, Geoff lead a team of five swimmers to the United States Olympic Swimming Trials. In recognition of all of his accomplishments, Geoff was named Middle Atlantic Swimming's Senior "Coach of the Year" for the 2015-2016 season. UDAC swimmers have continued to excel, with several athletes ranked nationally in the top-ten in their age group.


Geoff graduated from West Chester University with a degree in Health and Physical Education.


Brandon Pierce - Head Age Group Coach, Boys’ SAL Head Coach


Brandon was a competitive swimmer in high school in Blue Ash, Ohio. Brandon was a high school All-American and a six-time YMCA Nationals qualifier.  Brandon continued his swimming career at Rider University and helped lead the team to a MAAC conference championship. He set several Rider team and pool records along the way.  While at Rider, he qualified and participated in USA Swimming Senior Nationals and achieved top-ten standing in men’s team results. While in college Brandon worked as an assistant coach for the Lawrenceville Lightning Swim Team and was the head swim coach at the Miami Hills Swim & Tennis Club in Milford, Ohio.


Before joining the UDAC coaching staff in 2010, Brandon was the Aquatic Director at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, N.J., where he was responsible for the University's aquatic facilities operations, staffing and programming.  During his tenure at Stevens, he was also the Head Age Group/USA Swimming coach of the Stevens Sharks Swim Team, where he led the club’s first swimmers to compete in Eastern Zone Age Group and Supersectional Championships. Brandon is also the assistant coach for Upper Dublin High School Boy's Swim team and head swim coach at Maple Manor Swim Club.


Marianne Miller - Pre-team Head Coach

Marianne has been the head coach UDAC’s pre-team since 1993.  Marianne’s competitive swimming experience started when she was 7 years old on the Lansdale Swim Team and continued through high school and into college. She attended East Stroudsburg State College, majoring in elementary education. Her certifications include CPR, AED, Coaches Safety, first aid, and Marianne is a USA coach. In addition to coaching pre-team, Marianne teaches swim lessons to both children and adults

Marianne approaches the pre-team with the goal of sharing her love of swimming with every swimmer she meets.


Joe Gerrard - Swim Coach


Joe began swimming for Manorlu Swim Club at age 12 under the coaching of Geoff Scheuer and immediately joined UDAC that Fall.


In high school, Joe swam Upper Dublin High School and was a conference, district and state championship qualifier. Senior year, Joe was named captain of the men’s varsity swim team leading UDHS to an undefeated dual meet season.


While in college, Joe began his coaching career at Manorlu Swim Club. During that time period Joe joined the UDAC coaching staff by assisting during the UDAC summer practices.


In April of 2018, Joe decided to change careers from a Sr HR Specialist at the University of Pennsylvania to coaching full time. He rejoined the  UDAC staff and coached Team 3 while also assisting with the Senior groups. In the summer of 2018, Joe also returned to Manorlu Swim Club as coach.  In 2018 Joe was selected to the coaching staff of the 2018 Middle Atlantic Zones All Star Team.



Melissa Pierce - Swim Coach

IMG_9413.JPGMelissa has been a competitive swimmer since the age of seven. She began her swimming career at UDAC under the head coaching of her mother Judy Morrissy and also swam for Fort Washington Swim and Tennis Club. In high school, Melissa swam for Hatboro Horsham where she competed at the state championship meets all four years and still holds team records in the 100 breaststroke and relays.  Melissa continued her swimming career in college for Rider University. Her 200 breaststroke record from 2004 remains the oldest record on the girls team.

Melissa began coaching at Hatboro Horsham Aquatic Association in 2004 as the women’s head coach.  She remained head coach until her first son was born in 2009. From 2004-2017 Melissa has been an assistant coach for the Hatboro Horsham High School swim team. She coached for Fort Washington Swim and Tennis Club from 2004-2015 before moving to Maple Manor Swim Club in 2016 to present.  Additionally, Melissa is a Third Grade Reading and Writing teacher in the Hatboro Horsham School District.


Judy Morrissy - Swim Coach

Judy swam competitively from the age of 7 at Maple Manor Swim Club, and she began swimming at UDAC from the first year it was established in the 60's. Judy was also a member of the Upper Dublin High School women’s team and was a part of the very first PIAA State Championship  Meet held for girls in the 70’s. Judy currently hold a degree is in Health and Physical Fitness

Judy’s previous coaching experience includes the following: head girls’ coach of Centennial Aquatic Club, head boys’ coach at Abington Aquatic Club, and head girls of coach UDAC. Judy also has experience in the position of Aquatic Director of UDAC. Since 1990, Judy has been a member of the  Fort Washington Swim Club coaching staff. She returned to the UDAC coaching staff in 2015.


Vikye Swanson - Swim Coach

Vikye started her swimming competitively at age 3 at the Philadelphia Cricket Club. She continued her swimming career in college while attending William Smith College. In college, Vikye was the Division III Champion in the 50 and 100 backstroke. Currently, she continues to swim and compete at the masters USMS level holding national and world records.  

Vikye began coaching at age 17 for Whitemarsh Valley Country Club. Vikye has been the head coach of the Fort Washington Sharks since 1990, and the head coach of Central Bucks High School West since 1991. She joined the UDAC staff in 2016 and brings years of coaching experience to the club.

Additionally, Vikye is a French (and German) teacher at Central Bucks High School East.


Diana Peng-Morris- PreTeam Coach

Diana is from Long Island and started swimming  competitively at the Y and LIAC through high school. She continued onto swim collegiately at Fairfield University while earning her bachelors degree in Biology. She is a Physician Assistant and has a masters degree in health sciences.  She has 3 little swimmers of her own that she taught before it was realized that competitive swimming was also in their future. She loves the sport of swimming and hope to pass that along to all the kids. 

I believe that fostering proper technique/foundation and developing a passion for the sport is the basis for swim success. 


Buff Keillor - Swim Coach

IMG_2593.JPGBuff began his competitive swimming career at age 10 at  Pine Bush Aquatic Club, New York. Buff progressed to the Pine Bush High School Boys Varsity Swim team as a seventh grader.  Later in his high school career, he transitioned to a year-round swimmer with Marist Swim Club in Poughkeepsi, NY.

Buff continued his swimming career at Gettysburg College where he held the 200 butterfly record, and helped lead the Men’s squad to four straight conference championships. Buff graduated Summa Cum Laude from Gettysburg College with a dual degree in Economics and Political Science.

Buff began his coaching career in New York at the Viking Aquatic Club and Pine Bush Aquatics where he started the latter club’s U.S. Swimming program. Additionally, Buff was head coach of both the boys and girls Pine Bush High School Swim teams helping re-establish Pine Bush Swimming to its status as one of the top tier programs in New York State. Buff later served as UDAC Boys Head Coach 1995-1996 and rejoined the coaching staff in 2011.


Michelle Keillor - Swim Coach

IMG_2584.JPGMichelle began competitive swimming on the Manorlu swim team and eventually became a year round swimmer after joining UDAC. Michelle swam in college at La Salle University where she set a number of individual and relay records.

Michelle began coaching at Manorlu Swim Club and eventually moved into the position of head coach of the Upper Dublin High School women’s swim team leading them to their second District One and PIAA State Championship Swimming titles. After gaining a teaching position in Council Rock High school as an English teacher, she began coaching Council Rock High School women’s swim team. Michelle led her team to two District One swimming titles and was named  “Bucks County Coach of the Year” honors. Michelle returned to UDAC in 2003.


Sean Staerk - Swim Coach

Sean began his swimming career at Manorlu Swim Club. At age 12, Sean joined UDAC. Sean swam for Abington High School qualifying for the state championship meet three years earning All-State recognition. As a senior, Sean was named team captain.

Sean continued his swimming career at Gettysburg College. While at Gettysburg, Sean earned multiple All-American Honorable Mention Honors. Additionally, Sean qualified for the  NCAA Division III National Championship meet sophomore, junior, and senior year. As a senior, Sean was named team captain.

Sean joined the UDAC coaching staff in 2018.




Kaitlyn Pro - Swim Coach


Kaitlyn started swimming at age 5 at Fort Washington Swim Club. While in high school, Kaitlyn swam on the Upper Dublin Girls Varsity swim team specializing in breaststroke and IM.

In the fall of 2018, Kaitlyn started attending Rosemont College to earn a degree in Early Education and Special Education.


Kaitlyn began coaching in 2016 as a volunteer coach at Fort Washington swim club. In 2017 Kaitlyn joined the UDAC staff as a junior swim coach and is now an assistant PreTeam coach.




Todd Michael - Head SAL Diving Coach

Todd started diving at age 4 and was a Michigan State High School Champion. He is currently ranked among the to p five in the world of High Diving. Todd is also head diving coach at TNT Diving. His divers have qualified and medaled in PIAA District and State Championships, USA Diving East National Championships and AAU National Championships. Todd also volunteers in exhibitions to benefit the NCAA.


In 2015 Todd was named the head diving coach of Villanova University. While coaching Villanova's diving team, in 2017 Todd was named BIG EAST Women’s Diving Coach of the Year, and in 2018 Todd was named the BIG EAST Men's Diving Coach of the year.

Todd joined the UDAC coaching staff in 2017.


Jim Davidson - Diving Coach

Jim Davidson brings a lifetime of competitive diving experience and guidance to the UDAC diving program. Jim has been diving president of the Suburban Aquatic League and a proud member of USA Diving for twenty years. Jim has experience both in the coach’s seat and as a competitive diver himself. While attending Lafayette College, he placed first in the Patriot League Division, the Eastern Region Championships and qualified for the NCAA Championships. Jim coached Duke University's Men’s Diving team for two seasons.

Jim coached at North Penn, Plymouth-Whitemarsh and Upper Dublin High Schools. Jim was instrumental in the efforts over the last fifteen years to bring a state-of-the-art aquatics facility to Upper Dublin and will continue to offer his expertise, dedication and love for the sport of competitive diving to the youth of our community while expanding UDAC’s diving program.



Kelly Toner - Diving Coach

Kelly began diving competitively at Fort Washington Swim Club. Kelly dove for the Upper Dublin High School team; and during her years at Upper Dublin, she qualified for the District One and State Championship meets. After graduation, Kelly dove for Rider University and in 2014 transferred to Marshall University to finish her diving career. In 2014 and 2016, Kelly was a NCAA Diving Zone Qualifier.

In 2013, Kelly began her coaching career at Fort Washington Swim Club as the assistant diving coach. She joined UDAC as an assistant diving coach in 2017.



Dan Fleck - Water Polo Coach

Dan began his water polo career at La Salle High School. In college, Dan continued to play water polo at NCAA Division I Iona College. He served as the men's team captain in both his junior and senior years.  Additionally, Dan was named to the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) Scholar Athlete Team during all four years of his NCAA career.

Dan began coaching water polo with UDAC in summer 2017 by heading the summer clinic program.
