Fall and Winter Programs

See Events section of the website for information on our Minnows program - registration is January.

SAL SEASON:  Our SWIM TEAM competes in the Suburban Aquatic League, along with our DIVE TEAM.  We have six swim practice groups, from Developmental Bronze (for swimmers new to competition) through Senior (for advanced swimmers who have demonstrated mastery of the key elements of the sport and dedication to the team); see our Practice Group descriptions, under the Programs tab on the website.  Fees differ according to practice group.

Swim and dive team practices begin the week of September 8 and run through the SAL championships at the end of January and beginning of February.  Swim meets are held on Saturdays, beginning in November; dive meets are usually held Friday nights or Saturday mornings.
Please note: all Marlins team members are expected to attend SAL meets.

NEW swimmers and divers should attend one of our evaluation nights -- 9/17/2018 for the 2018-2019 Season, at the Upper Merion High School.  If you miss our evaluation night and still wish to join the team, please email us.

In addition to SAL competition, UMAC is a USA Swim Program offering swimmers who the chance to compete in additional meets and extend their season throughout the entire calendar year.  Registration with USA Swimming is including with Registration for the Fall/Winter Program.  UMAC will offer additional practice sessions after the SAL season ends beginning in February though the end of July/beginning of August.

If there is sufficient interest, we will also provide a Spring Clinic for our divers following Spring Break. Fees will be posted at a later date.

MINNOWS:  Starting in April, this twice-weekly program is for children ages 5 and up who love to swim but are not quite ready for the competitive team.  In small group 45 minute sessions, swimmers build endurance and master their strokes.  Evaluation night in early april.

See the Events section of the website for more information.

Beginner Lessons will be offered in February with in-person registration and evaluation in Early February at the Upper Merion High School pool.

EXTENDED USA AND AAU SEASONS:  These programs are offered for current Marlins who wish to extend their competitive seasons through the end of March.  Swimmers must be a current member of USA swimming, and are eligible to compete in two or more USA meets, culminating either in Junior Olympics or the Silver Championships.  Divers join AAU and compete in AAU meets. Both programs begin after the SAL season is over and continue through March.
