Fee Structure

Registration fees are dependent on the group placement of the athlete. The first step in joining the Manitoba Marlins is an in-person assessment of the swimmer's abilities.  Only after this assessment can a specific discussion regarding the fees can take place, based on the swimmer's ability, age, and commitment level.

Registration fees may be paid in full or divided over 4 months or 9 months. Registration fees are set annually based on pool costs, coaching costs and the number of swimmers enrolled in the club. The Manitoba Marlins Swim Club is a non-profit organization and we rely on membership fees and fundraising to offset pool costs, coaching costs and various operational related expenditures. Our registration fees include a Swim Canada & Swim Manitoba registration/insurance fee, meet retainer fee, training/practice fee and two mandatory fundraising fees (MM Bud, Spud and Steak Social Fee and a general fundraising fee). Families will be able to recoup a portion of the mandatory fundraising fee by selling tickets to the social and by participating in our annual Swim-A-Thon.

We believe our fees are very competitive with other swim clubs, taking into consideration the number of hours Marlins' swimmers train on a weekly basis.

The Manitoba Marlins Swim Club offers the following discounts:

  • 40% discount for families on registration fees for 2nd (and 3rd, 4th etc) registered swimmer.
  • 50% discount on registration fees for swimmers enrolled in full-time post-secondary education.
