ASC is looking for an enthusiastic Age Group Coach to primarily work with our 10 & Under swimmers.

Requirements: Preferably looking for candidates to have 2-3 years previous coaching experience, and to feel comfortable leading groups with prepared practices, and a strong ability to teach and correct stroke technique. The hired coach will be expected to work 4 evenings per week, although this can be flexible. All ASC Coaches will need to remain current with all USA Swimming certifications.

Competitive Swimming Supervisor

The Competitive Swimming Supervisor supervises their respective group(s) in accordance with the values, purposes, and policies of the Columbia Association. He or she is responsible for the overall running of the Columbia Aquatics Association (Clippers) Private lesson program. Responsibilities also include coaching youth in competitive swimming , model and promote professionalism, good sportsmanship, and the spirit of friendly competition, communicate effectively and appropriately with all CA team members, swimmers, parents, and volunteers, manage private lesson program attending meets and coaches meetings. Lead Senior Coach

The Eagle Swim Team (EST) has a full time position open as our lead coach for our Senior Group. Our team is home to 240 motivated swimmers ages 6-18; abilities range from novice to national qualifiers.  Our team is an organization that is athlete focused, coach directed and parent supported.

Requirements:This position is an excellent opportunity for a coach to have a career of positively impacting children and young adults’ lives through competitive swimming. Candidates should have a minimum of 6 years of coaching experience with a demonstrated ability of successfully working with children and young adults. This position will involve serving as the lead coach for our Senior group, and assisting with our Senior Performance and National Training Groups. In addition to strength of character and being an excellent role model, the candidate should possess a strong work ethic and a selfless attitude. Excellent organizational and communication skills with athletes and parents and the ability to teach outstanding stroke technique is critical for this position. Computer proficiency is needed in TeamUnify, Hy-Tek (TM & MM), MS Excel, Word, Publisher, and Google Docs. The candidate will need to have all USA Swimming required certifications including an up to date background check and driving record.

We are looking for a hard working and positive team builder who shares our vision and goal of excellence in competitive swimming. This coach will work with our staff to create a team that will help us attain our ambition of climbing the ranks of the USA Virtual Club Championship and Club Excellence program. We are offering a competitive salary package including health benefits. This position also includes opportunities for increased income by assisting with our summer swim camp, clinics and assisting with McDonogh Middle School water polo and swim teams. In addition, EST covers team travel expenses, continuing education, and professional memberships.

Eldersburg and Towson coaching opportunities

We are looking for a motivated Swim Coach who will provide knowledge of the sport, and quality practice routines. Coach positions available at our Eldersburg & Towson locations.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating and running quality swim practices which both challenge and motivate swimmers
  • Developing and leading a dry land program to enhance the in water work.
  • Attending swim meets and providing feedback on swimmers’ accomplishments
  • Is in proper uniform (shirt, suit, name tag)
  • Creates an enjoyable experience for all swimmers and families
  • Interacts and engages with coaches and swimmers of other branches at the meets and team functions.
  • Displays willingness to learn and assume additional tasks
  • Promotes the club, and its mission through daily work.
  • Enforce rules and regulations in a safe and fair manner.
  • Is active in promoting swim classes/aquatic programs, and club programs

Dancel Family Y in Ellicott City

As a Y Head Swim Team Coach, you will assist with and supervise teaching, administration, and deck coaching for the YCM competitive swimming program. You will lead Swim Team Coaches to train and supervise swimmers using a competitive philosophy. You will be responsible for ensuring that Swim Team Coaches conduct safe, effective team practices and swim meet warm-up sessions.


  • At least 3 years of prior experience in competitive swimming
  • A Y Lifeguard or Coach’s Safety training, CPR for the Professional Rescuer and Basic First Aid certifications
  • Some formal education in Health, Physical Education or Recreation
  • An active coach membership through USA Swimming
