All swimmers in a sanctioned meet must be USA Swimming registered.

All coaches on deck at a sanctioned meet must be currently certified and registered with USA Swimming.

USA Swimming athlete members must be under the supervision of a USA registered coach during warmups, competition and warm down.

All Officials at a sanctioned meet must be fully certified and be registered members of USA Swimming.

All Sanctioned Meets must have an MDSI Sanction number issued by the Technical Planning Committee.

There is a $30 MDSI Meet Sanction fee


Swims may be observed by assigned USA or YMCA officials for conformance with USA Swimming technical rules. If technical rules differ from USA technical rules, at least 2 USA or YMCA Officials must be on deck to observe and verify that all swims to be entered into SWIMS must have conformed to USA rules.
