2021 Summer Championship Series

 

July 23 – 25, 2021

2021 Summer Junior Championships

Hosted by Fox Swim Club

Claude Moore Recreation Center & Community Pool in Sterling, Virginia

Entries due Monday, July 12th with updated files accepted until Monday, July 19th @ 8pm

Tentative Format:

Qualifying times:  Slower than the “MD LSC Championship Meet” Times (SCY & LCM) -  Faster than USA Swimming “B – BB” modified times 

3 timed final sessions per day (12 & U / 13 – 14 / 15 & Over)

Limit 8 Events for 13 & Over and 9 Events for 12 & U 

Bonus Events: 1-2 qualified swims = 2 bonus events, 3-4 qualified swims = 1 bonus event, 5 or more qualified swims = no bonus events

*Teams will be notified after the registration deadline if there the timeline allows for bonus events.

*Any heats with Bonus events only will be eliminated first if needed to reduce timeline.

*Sessions subject to change once entries are received.

*** July 13th update ***

  • Each swimmer is allowed to enter two additional bonus events.  These events can be from a B time to the state cut.  You can enter them in yards, LCM or SCM, but I prefer LCM if possible.  Please mark them as a bonus on TU. 
  • All swimmers will now be allowed to swim 9 total events.
  • NT’s will not be accepted.  Slower than B times will not be accepted.  
  • No bonus events for distances of 400 and above.
  • We will be combining the 13-14 and 15-18 age groups into one afternoon session.
  • We are anticipating the following timeline: 12&Under Sessions will Warm-up at 7:30 am, and Meet will begin at 8:45.  13&Over Sessions will Warm-up at 12:45, and the Meet will begin at 2:00 pm.  Rob will confirm that these times work after he has new files with bonus events.
  • Rob Fox would appreciate it if you sent me a new file that includes bonus events.   New files are due by Friday at 10:00 am.  He will be loading them on Friday so that everyone can have the appropriate timeline to make travel plans.

Tentative Format:

Qualifying Times:  MD LSC Championship Meet Qualifying Times (SCY & LCM)

Wednesday Night Session:  13 & O Distance Event & 12 & U Distance Event

Thursday – Sunday: 

2 Prelim Sessions:  11 & Over Boys / 11 & Over Girls *Will alternate which group is first each first each day

Timed Final 10 & U Session after 2nd prelim session *10 & U will only swim Thursday – Saturday

Finals Session for 11 & Older Swimmers

Considerations to be determined:

A & B finals or single heat final

Relays *there will be no relay swimmers only allowed.

Bonus Events: 1-2 qualified swims = 2 bonus events, 3-4 qualified swims = 1 bonus event, 5 or more qualified swims = no bonus events
