CAC Masters swimming for Adults is open for new members. Our Master team will begin practices this Monday, June 7, 2021. The cost is $75 dollars a month.
What is CAC Masters?
The CAC Masters Swim Team is a team-based adult training program. Swimming skill levels range from novice competitive swimmers to U.S. master’s national swimmers. Lanes are organized with swimmers grouped according to ability.
We welcome ALL adult swimmers (fitness, triathlete, competitive, non-competitive, open water). We’re all about helping swimmers improve fitness, train for specific goals, and providing active support for a healthy lifestyle through friendship and camaraderie.
As long as you can swim a 25-yard freestyle, you are more than welcome to be a part of the CAC master’s team.
Workouts are typically 1 hour/1 hour and 30 minutes, Monday-Thursday. We swim all year round with the exception of holidays and days the center is closed.
What is US Masters Swimming?
United States Masters Swimming is a national membership-operated nonprofit that provides membership benefits to nearly 65,000 Masters swimmers across the country. These benefits include insurance, SWIMMER magazine, sanctioned events, and more. USMS and its 52 Local Masters Swimming Committees (LMSCs) provide direct support to more than 1,500 masters swimming clubs and workout groups.
The structure and organization of USMS programs vary and are driven by factors such as pool availability, instructor or coach availability, community support, and finances. The majority of locations offering Masters Swimming programs have coaches on deck. Coaches write workouts and provide feedback and instruction. For more information about USA Masters Swimming visit https://www.usms.org/
What we do at practice:
A workout will be written on a board for Master swimmers to do at their own pace. The Master’s coach will coach any master swimmer that wants it. Each swimmer has different reasons and goals for being on the team. Whether it's fitness, social, or want to become a US master national champion. The coach will help in the process to make every swimmer physically more fit and help the swimmer with their goals.
