The Naval Academy Aquatic Club is a private 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization composed of a swimming program and a water polo program. The programs have separate coaching staffs, schedules, and  facilities, but are administered under a common program director and executive committee. NAAC is a member of Maryland Swimming, USA Swimming, U.S. Water Polo and Maryland Water Polo.

The club fosters the development of leadership, self-reliance, and self-assurance in addition to promoting swimming and water polo skills for residents of the greater Annapolis area as well as military dependents and children of federal employees.

NAAC has a staff of 17 professional coaches, thereby keeping the coach/athlete ratio under 1:20. The club is fortunate to have access to excellent facilities, which include two pools with ample space to train and compete both long course (50 meter) and short course (25 yard).

The competitive swimming program is designed for athletes ages 6 through 18, with the younger swimmers learning the basic competitive techniques and the older ones practicing up to seven times a week in an attempt to reach their full swimming potential. The five swimming training groups (Senior, Junior, Age Group, Novice A, Novice B) compete throughout their seasons.

The water polo program offers individual and team instruction to prepare players ages 7 through 18 to compete in local, state, regional, and national tournaments. The program runs 11 months of the year.
