Age Group Meet Warm-Up

  • 300 Free
  • 6 X 50 (4 breathing pattern, 2 Amber)
    • breathing pattern = Breathe only right, breathe only left, breathe every third stroke, breathe every fifth stroke
    • Amber = This 50 freestyle drill was named for Amber Martin who excelled at it. Swim free for 25 yards, breathing every 3rd stroke. After the turn you can only take two breaths on the remaining 25. Take the first breath on the third stroke and the next on the sixth stroke. Don't hold your breath - exhale slowly. If you really need an etxra breath, take one!
  • 4 X 50 25 back/25 canoe kick
  • 8 X 50 (2 back, 4 IM order, 2 choice)
  • Starts (25s and walk back)
