Aaron Rog Head Coach

AJ is the fearless leader of Seacoast Swim Club and has been a part of the club for over 12 years.  He began swimming when he was 8 years old for Canoe City Swim Club in Old Town, Maine.  He was a member of 4 straight high school state championship teams at Old Town High School.  AJ went on to swim for 4 years at the University of Maine in Orono, where he specialized in backstroke and IM and was named captain his senior year.  After granduation, he stayed on for one year as an assistant coach.  AJ lives in Cumberland with his wife and children and is a full time teacher in Portland.  

Rob Hale Assistant Coach

Rob Hale, a one-time Greely Rangers standout and longtime coach, is respected, admired and most of all beloved for the fun atmosphere he fosters.  Rob started swimming at the age of 12 and hasn't stopped.  He has coached the Greely High School and Middle School teams for over 20 years and has been with Seacoast since the club began.  In 2020, Rob was inducted into the Maine Swimming Hall of Fame.  

Brenda Bacall Assistant Coach

Coach Brenda swam for SSC from the ages of 8 to 18.  She went on to swim 4 years at Bowdoin College where her favorite events were the 200 and 400 IM and 500 and 1000 freestyle.  She lives in North Yarmouth with her husband and three children.  Brenda is a certified lifeguard who still swims 3 days a week at the Greely pool and also enjoys running.  Brenda is delighted to share her love of swimming with new and experienced swimmers.
