AQUATOTS II

PRE-BEGINNERS
Comfortable in water; float on stomach unassisted; float on back unassisted; comfortable swimming underwater; comfortable jumping off side of pool- class sizes limited
LEVEL I SWIMMING
Front arm circles; back arm circles; bi-lateral breathing; swim 25 yards unassisted; swim underwater and back to the side unassisted; comfortable jumping off starting block or diving board- class sizes limited
LEVEL II SWIMMING
25 yards freestyle; 25 yards backstroke; kick 50 yards with kickboard; treading water; learn starting dive progression- class sizes limited
LEVEL III SWIMMING
50 yards of freestyle; 50 yards of backstroke; Introduction to competitive breaststroke and butterfly; treading water for time; dive off side or bloc- class sizes limited
LEVEL IV SWIMMING
Freestyle proficiency; backstroke proficiency; breaststroke proficiency; survival swimming and elementary backstroke- class sizes limited
BEGINNING DIVING
his course is an introduction to the competitive sport of 1 meter diving. Students should already know how to dive into the water from the side of the pool before enrolling in this class and also proficient in swimming to the side of the pool after entering the water. This course is designed to teach a diver techniques for approach, hurdle, and entry as well as basic front and back dives. Class size is limited in both size and in age with 8 years of age being the youngest.
WATER AEROBICS (50+)(Ages 50+) This new water aerobics class will have a combination of different elements to help strengthen and condition any participant at any skill level!
MUST be a current member of the Brighton Senior Center to attend class!
