Safe Sport focuses on creating a secure environment for our swimmers and non-athlete members that is free from abuse of any kind including sexual abuse, bullying, and inappropriate communications.

In 2010, USA Swimming formally implemented a comprehensive Safe Sport program to respond to and prevent instances of abuse and misconduct within the sport of swimming.  Since then USA Swimming Safe Sport has worked tirelessly to educate members, put policies in place, and empower LSCs and clubs to create the best possible environments for all members.

Full implementation of the Safe Sport Program involves five key components:

1. Policies and Guidelines
2. Screening and Selection
3. Training and Education
4. Monitoring and Supervision
5. Recognizing, Responding, and Reporting

Atlantis Swim Team as a member of USA Swimming must adopt these changes as well.

Our new Safe Sport section on the website includes information on the MAAPP and the athlete Protection Training provided by USA Swimming.  We will also be posting other helpful resources to aid in achieving full compliance with the policy.

If you have any questions about the policy or how it impacts you and your swimmer, please feel free to contact
