About our swim lessons:
We offer a variety of swim lessons designed by our highly trained lessons staff. Our levels begin with Adult & Tot (from ages 6 months to about 3 years) and pre-school lessons that allow young children to become familiar and comfortable in the water. They are not designed to teach children to become good swimmers or to survive in the water on their own. The Learn-to-Swim levels are designed to develop a positive attitude and a progression of good swimming habits throughout each level. The objective is to teach participants to swim and be safe in, on, and around the water, while preparing students to join a competitive swim team.
Our goal at Jenison is safety, fun, and progression! Keeping that philosophy in mind, we only pass swimmers to the next level when they safely complete all of the skills for the level they are enrolled in, can fully participate in the next level safely, and are able to enjoy learning the more challenging skills of the next level.
