Information: New Formats for Short Course Yards Season Championship Competitions
Members of Michigan Swimming,
We are excited to announce new formats for our Short Course Yards season-ending championship competitions, beginning in 2024. These innovative updated formats are built with member input in mind and further our commitment to developing Age Group and Senior athletes in pursuit of excellence.
The most significant change to the SCY season-ending championship competitions is the split of our 14 & Under State Championship into two separate events -- a two-day 10 & Under State Championship and a three-day 11-14 State Championship. The full championship schedule is below.
Regional Championships: March 2-3, 2024, multiple sites
10 & Under State Championship (Name to be determined): March 9-10, 2024, single site
11-14 State Championship (MAGS): March 15-17, 2024, single site
Open State Championship (ULTRA): March 22-24, 2024, single site
Additional details about these new championship meet formats is forthcoming, and we extend our sincere thanks to all those who provided input and spent time developing this new structure.
Long Course Meters season-ending championship competition formats are unaffaced.
