Our Swim Groups

Spartan Aquatic Club (SAC) has the following progressive swimming groups: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Spartan.

For the most part, all groups practice at Novi High School Swimming Pool (unless otherwise noted in the Team Calendar) and are part of the Novi Swimming community. SAC also hosts swimmers from other school district areas that have swimming and school swim teams such as Northville, South Lyon, Walled Lake, Livonia, Farmington, Plymouth.

The groups have a progressive manner so that each athlete may be successful in competitive swimming and reach their individual goals and potential.  Group placement is at the discretion of the head group coach with the approval of the head coach.  Group movement can occur anytime, but tends to be done at the end of each new session. Various factors are considered in which group each particular athlete will practice, some of these are:  age, ability, competitive swimming background, skill, maturity level.

Every swimmer must be registered with USA Swimming and Michigan Swimming (see Membership Forms).

If you have any questions about the groups or group placement, please  contact us.

Bronze swimmers will work on developing these competitive strokes and learn how to train while using the clock. Bronze group swimmers train up to three times a week with one hour in the pool and 30 minutes of dryland. Space is limited.

Practice Location

SAC practices almost always are helde at Novi High School pool, which is located at 24062 Taft Road, Novi, MI.   Due to ever changing pool availability SAC sometimes holds practices at different High School pools or cancels all together. Please make sure you check the Team Calendar often. If there is a meet on the weekend there is high potential for practice to be canceled as Coaches will be needed to support meets and basic expectation is alll swimmers will attend meets instead usually.
