Based on a true story, Pride tells the story of legendary coach Jim Ellis and how he was able to help kids in a Philadelphia neighborhood by forming the city's first African-American swim team, Philadelphia Department of Recreation (PDR), and taking it to compete in its first state championship meet. Starring Terrence Howard and Bernie Mac, the movie is a wonderful recreation of a piece of our swimming history.
