We are pleased to offer electronic payment processing and registration. The process is simple for both new and returning members. You'll get access to your own private account that will enable you easily to declare for swim meets, sign-up for jobs, see your children's swim times histories, maintain your own contact information, and more.

Pups & Jr. Otters - The YCS HS Pool is colder than a recreational pool.  If your child is assigned to Pups or the Jr. Otters , you can bring your swimmer on the first day to try out the class and pool to make sure s/he is comfortable in the water/class.

1/xx (Tues) - ​ 1st Day of Practice for Learn-to-Swim Groups (Pups & Jr Otters)

Parent Meeting / Swim Testing

Mandatory Parent Meeting for ALL Families –  Dates TBD @ YCS HS Pool 

The meeting will cover: Volunteer Deposit Changes, Volunteer Opportunities, Personalized Towel Order, Silicone Caps, Latex Caps for New Families, Concession Team, Tech Team, Championships Committee, USA Swim Overview, Strength & Conditioning Re-Boot (Formerly "Dry Land"), Locker Room Monitoring & Safety Team

Winter 2022 SMSL Meet Schedule

Below is the list of YOSC SMSL Meet Schedule. We run either dual or tri meets, and each meet has a specific stroke focus. Below is the list of the focus of the meet and the teams we will be swimming against. 

The Ypsilanti Otters Swim Club (YOSC) SMSL Swim Meet dates will be open soon for registering. For the home meets, we will need families to volunteer. Look over the “job sign-up” list to learn more.

Winter 2022 - YOSC SMSL Meet Schedule

All competitive swimmers are strongly encouraged to participate. Your swimmer must have competed in at least 1+ meet to qualify to swim at Championships. 

Please go to  www.ypsi-otters.org and declare whether your swimmer will attend ASAP.

Winter 2022 YOSC SMSL Championships – TBD

All competitive swimmers are strongly encouraged to participate. Your swimmer must have competed in at least 1+ meet to qualify to swim at Championships.

Our coaches will plan the line up based on this information.  Please accept or decline for each swimmer. More detailed info will be sent to families before the championship meet.

3/xx (Sat) AM – 8 & Under

3/xx (Sun) AM -  13 & Up

3/xx (Sun) PM - 11/12

In order to participate in Championships a swimmer must compete in at least 1 Ypsilanti Otters Swim Club (YOSC) SMSL Meet

Some swimmers or parents feel that they are not ready for a swimming competition yet. The only way to be comfortable and confident in the water is to try out all aspects of swimming. Even if a swimmer can only do one race, that is enough to get them into the sport of competitive swimming. The way we create an atmosphere of teamwork and community is to get everyone cheering for their teammates, and the friendship and respect of one another will show in and out of the water. 

This page will be updated with the dates when they are decided upon by the Head Coaches of each team.
