Leah Foreman-Keiser
Two Aquajets swimmers have been chosen to attend two prestigious USA Swimming Select Camps this fall in Chula Vista, CA. Michael Phillips will attend the boys’ National Select Camp from October 14-17, and Audrey Soetanto will attend the National Diversity Select Camp from October 21-24.

According to USA Swimming, during the boys’ National Select Camp, the 51 invited swimmers will experience the day-to-day routine of a National Team athlete. The campers will learn from top aquatic professionals about post-race recovery, drug and supplement rules, psychological training skills, nutrition, and race strategy. 2020 Tokyo Olympic alumni of the program include Katie Ledecky, Michael Andrew, Lily King, Hali Flickinger, Kieran Smith, and Bobby Finke.

At the National Diversity Select Camp, the 56 invited swimmers from diverse backgrounds and underrepresented populations will participate in a one-of-a-kind swimming experience. The camp brings together some of USA Swimming’s most diverse talent for three days of pool training, leadership development, team-building activities, and learning. 2020 Tokyo Olympic alumni of the program include Simone Manuel, Jay Litherland, Torri Huske, and Natalie Hinds.

USA Swimming Select Camps’ selections are based on times swum at sanctioned USA Swimming competitions.

Congratulations Michael and Audrey! We are so proud of you!
