The National group is the highest level of swimming that Edina Swim Club offers.  Swimmers in this group are those who are committed to reaching for the highest time standards and meets in the U.S., as well as making the U.S. National Select Camps and Junior National Team.  The training and commitment of the National group is intense, with the objectives of consistent attendance, pursuit of excellence, national travel and team leadership.

Swimmers are highly committed to swimming as their primary sport. Training is geared towards preparing swimmers to reach the highest levels of USA swimming competition including National level meets, Olympic Trials and USA Swimming Junior and Senior National Teams.

-At least 1 NCSA cut  -At least 2 Futures Championship qualifying times -16 x 100 free @1:10
-12 x200 FR @ 2:20 -12 x 200 IM @ 2:45 -2 x 50 flutter kick @:45 

6-10 times per week

Swimmers are expected to compete in 1- 2 meets per month, finals meets and National meets. Mandatory 2 x a week morning practices, and dry land 3 days a week. Swimmers are expected to sign a written commitment to attendance guidelines and travel commitment expectations.
