Team update -- back to the pool!!

RJ Greseth

High Tides Families,

We are less than two weeks away from actual swimming!
I am very excited, and planning for a fun and productive 8 week summer season. There are some things you will need to know leading up to the start of swimming at Carlson Pool on July 6th.

The summer season will start on July 6th and go until August 28th. Swimmers will need to register for one of three groups – 13 and over, 12 and under, and pre-competitive. Coaches will review all registrations and swimmers may be shuffled based on group size and other considerations to comply with Minnesota CDC rules. During the first 8 weeks, 13 and over swimmers will be in the water Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 9:00am. The 12 and under group will swim Monday through Friday from 9:15am to 10:30am. And the pre-competitive group will swim from 9:15am to 10:15am Monday through Thursday. Schedule for the last two weeks will be adjusted for Tigersharks and PRCE programming, and will be announced when decided.

Fees for the summer season will be as follows:

13 and over - $210 (H.S. Fall sport athletes $160)

12 and under - $180

pre-competitive - $120

We will be working under restrictions and guidelines from Minnesota Swimming, The Minnesota CDC, and our local facility leaders in order to use the pool going forward during this 'pandemic period'. I will be preparing and publishing/distributing our pool protocols in the near future – things keep changing and this will be an evolving protocol. It is extremely important that all procedures are followed explicitly, or we may lose our pool privileges indefinitely. We are in the process of posting a “Covid 19” tab on our website, and it will be the responsibility of each member to know and follow the information posted.

High Tides will be hosting an annual meeting, awards for the winter season, and short course season kick off in early September. Check your email and look on our website in the future for more specific information on this event.

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to call me at (320) 583 9182. I realize these are uncertain times, and it is my intent to restart our program in a safe and positive manner. The mental and physical health and well being of each of my swimmers is my overriding concern. My coaching staff and I will do everything in our power to protect our athletes.

See you all at the pool!!
