My name is Adam Gannon. I have been swimming competitively since the age of 5. When I moved to Minnesota, I joined the swim team Mach 3 Flyers and competed with them for 10 years. I am a 2010 graduate of Wayzata High School where I was a six-year letter winner in swimming. I was named the 2010 Section 5AA Swimmer of the Year, a four-time All-American and all-state and received eight all-state accolades. I was a Three-time all-conference selection, and was voted the team MVP in 2009-10. After high school I swam for the University of North Dakota for all 4 years of my college career. During this time, I was in UND all-time top three times in five different events, I appears in UND's all-time top 10 list in seven events total and was voted team MVP for 3 of my 4 years.

After graduating college with a degree in Kinesiology and a minor in coaching I decided to pursue a higher education and achieved a masters degree in Sports Management from the University of South Dakota. While I worked through my master’s degree I was the head sprint coach for the University of South Dakota’s men’s and women’s swimming and diving team. During this time my swimmers set 16 new school records. I am currently working with the Chanhassen Life Time swim team and am very happy and excited to be a part of the wonderful program we have to offer our members.

Hello, my name is Marisa Perrine and I am the Bronze coach at Plymouth. I was practically born in the water; I started learning how to swim at the Plymouth leisure pool when I was one, and I have loved it ever since. I have swam competitively since the age of eight and I was a Varsity swimmer on the Wayzata High School swim team. I have done synchronized swimming for six years, in which I have earned seven gold medals at High School State, and now have the privilege to be a Team Captain of the Wayzata High synchro team this season.

I have worked at Life Time in the swim program for two years, and I have had the privilege to coach Developmental, the Summer Swim League and now Bronze over the past year.  I absolutely adore swimming, and I love teaching younger swimmers about something that has such a positive influence on my life.

I once had a coach tell me that although obtaining faster times and getting stronger through training is important, the most valuable lesson from being on a swim team is learning the value of hard work and achieving one’s goals through dedication and perseverance. That has been my philosophy ever since. I love to help kids grow and succeed through hard work and dedication, while still having fun along the way. :)
