About NHCP

The NHCP Tunas is a year round competitive swim team offering high quality professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities. The goal of our team is to provide every member an opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability, from novice to international competitors.

All of our coaches, as members of the American Swimming Coaches Association, have access to the most comprehensive training and certification program for youth coaches of any sport in the United States. They provide assurances that the time children spend in swimming will be quality time.

We are a non profit club, run by an elected Board of Directors which meets each month. All members are welcome at each meeting and encouraged to be involved in team activities and fundraisers.

NHCP Values

Mission Statement
NHCP strives to inspire and prepare our members to set, plan for, and achieve their highest goals in both swimming and their personal lives within a positive, safe, and supportive skill-based environment.

Vision Statement
NHCP’s vision is to inspire and prepare our members to set, plan for, and achieve their highest goals in swimming and in life.

Core Objectives
As a member of USA Swimming, NHCP supports USA Swimming’s three core objectives. NHCP and USA Swimming encourage all members to participate in the local, regional and national efforts to ensure that these objectives are accomplished.

Build the Base
We strive to recruit and retain athletes of all ages, with a focus on building a strong membership base that will thrive for many years, including developing young swimmers and striving for excellence at all levels. We are interested in developing young athletes whose commitment to swimming and NHCP will continue to grow, and in nurturing the talents of athletes who are prepared to compete at the highest possible level.

Promote the Sport
We are dedicated to giving back to our community in a way that benefits those in our neighborhoods, promotes the sport of swimming, and generates interest in swimming among typically underrepresented populations in our sport.  We are proud of our sport and the accomplishments of NHCP’s athletes; we want to generate enthusiasm for swimming in those around us.  We are committed to involving our athletes in volunteerism, being responsible members of our community, and promoting a unified team approach to pursuit of goals both in and out of the pool.

Achieve Competitive Success
NHCP Swim Club has been committed to its athletes for more than 30 years.  In that time, NHCP has established itself as a competitive club, with many accolades at the state, regional, and national levels.  We seek to further this tradition of competitive excellence by providing programs that meet the needs of our memberships.  We are dedicated to providing programs that are designed for progressive development among swimmers, from those who are novice competitors to those who compete at the national level.
