Piranhas Swim Club Mission Statement

The Piranhas Swim Club is a year-round, competitive swim team offering high quality professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities serving the Richfield and Minneapolis, MN communities.  Our coaches encourage every athlete to achieve continued improvement and success at his or her level of ability, from novice to the highest levels of competition.

Piranhas coaches are committed to developing prepared and focused athletes that excel, both in and out of the pool. We believe that learning swimming technique, discovering what it takes to race fast, and setting and achieving goals are skills athletes will use to succeed in all areas of their lives.

As members of USA Swimming and Minnesota Swimming, Inc, our coaches are certified through the most comprehensive training and certification program for youth coaches of any sport in the United States.

Piranhas Swim Club is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization, run by a volunteer Board of Directors. All members are welcome at each monthly board meeting and encouraged to become involved in supporting the team by attending these meetings, volunteering at meets, or assisting with other team activities.

What can a swimmer expect from the Piranhas Swim Club?

Our swimmers can expect an opportunity to learn how hard work, discipline, and dedication will affect their lives; both in the pool and out of the water. They will be challenged and encouraged by their coaches to give their best effort, in practice and in competition. Most importantly, our swimmers can expect to have fun. They will meet new friends, become proud of their achievements, and learn important skills that will help them flourish - in the pool and in life.

What does the Piranhas Swim Club Expect from its Swimmers?

The Piranhas Swim Club expects two things from our swimmers: participation and respect. We expect our swimmers to attend practice (see the guidelines on the "Practice Groups" page) and to represent their team at swim meets. We also expect our swimmers to treat their coaches, fellow teammates, and other team's swimmers with the utmost respect.
