Week 18: 2022 – 2023 Velocity Short Course Season

Welcome to week 5 of the "Winter" portion of the short course season! We hope everyone had a very Happy New Years!

Week of 1/1/23 - 1/6/23 - changes only are listed below:

  • Monday (1/2)
    • NDT and SR (All): moved to Delano 930-1130am
    • all other practices as scheduled
  • Tuesday (1/3)
    • NDT and SR (All): moved to Watertown 345-545pm
      • Any SR North swimmer that cannot make Watertown can join AG2 6-8pm in Delano
    • Novice 2 South:moved to Delano 645-745pm
    • AG1 South: moved to Delano 6-730pm
    • AG2 South: moved to Delano 6-8pm
  • Wednesday (1/4)
    • All practices are as scheduled
  • Thursday (1/5)
    • NDT and SR (All): moved to Watertown 715-900pm
    • Novice 1 and 2 North: moved to Safari Island 645-745pm
    • AG1 North: moved to Safari Island 6-730pm

Sioux Falls Hotel Information

Velocity has secured blocks of rooms at two hotels right next door to each other (they are the same hotels as last year that share a parking lot – the Fairfield Inn & Suites and the Residence Inn. Please use the following booking link to make your reservation by December 20th.

Here are the types of rooms we have reserved at each property:

 
ALL Velocity Swimmers must have been completed by 12/31/22 their USA Swimming Registration
  • If your registration is not complete, or registration is incorrect, you will need to adjust that registration prior to having your swimmer on deck, they cannot practice, nor can they participate in any swim meets.   
  • USA Swimming has moved to an entirely new database and each family has to create their own account. Even if you currently have an account with USA Swimming, you will be required to create a new one. Velocity is no longer be allowed to do it for you.

  3. Athletes will be registering for the 2022-2023 Season (swims 9/1/2022 - 12/31/2023) 
  4. If your family qualifies for financial assistance, please contact our team administrator for a special link
