Week 21: 2022 – 2023 Velocity Short Course Season

Welcome to week 8 of the "Winter" portion of the short course season!

Please note any changes for your schedules.

Week of 1/15/23 - 1/21/23 - changes only are listed below:

  • Monday, January 16th MLK Day
    **Board Meeting 6-8 PM Watertown Community Ed
    • NDT & Senior North 1&2
      • 1:15 - 3:15 PM @ Delano
        **If you cannot make this time, you are welcome to swim in the evening with senior south at 6:45-8:45 @ Waconia
    • All other practices as scheduled
  • Tuesday, Januray 17th
    **swim camp in Watertown
    • NDT 3:45 - 5:45 PM in Delano
    • Senior 1 & 2 North 1&2 3:45 - 5:45 PM in Delano
    • Senior 1 & 2  South 7 - 8:30 PM in Waconia OR 3:45 - 5:45 PM in Delano, you can choose, Paul will be at both.
    • All other practices as scheduled

Swim-a-Thon

The Swim-a-Thon has been re-scheduled to President's Day Monday, February 20th @ Watertown.

Velocity has secured blocks of rooms at two hotels right next door to each other (they are the same hotels as last year that share a parking lot – the Fairfield Inn & Suites and the Residence Inn. Please use the following booking link to make your reservation by December 20th.

Safe Sport Renewal Information 

It is a top prioroty to keep our athletes safe.   No abuse has a place in our sport.   USA Swimming is committed to reducing the risk of abuse in swimming and increasing awareness of red flag behavior through its safe sport program.   We do this through multiple layers of protection. 

  • All coaches and staff complete mandatory APT training
  • All athletes that are age 18 and above must complete mandatory APT training.
  • All adults volunteering are highly encouraged to take APT training
  • All parents are highly encouraged t to take APT training.
  • All swimmers between the ages of 12-17 are requested to take APT training

Please take 30 minutes to complete the online training and help us to increase awareness and reduce risk in order to keep all athletes safe.
