2020 Twin Cities Open Water Half Marathon Series Practice Sessions
Due to COVID-19, this year's open water series will look different.
1. Each of the swims will be an Open Water Practice Session with separate waves/pods for USMS and USAS swimmers.
2. We will be adhering to strict social distancing guidelines with up to 25 participants on the beach at a time.
3. Swimmers will be grouped in pods or waves of up to 25 based on anticipated finish times.
4. Start times will be emailed and posted at least 48 hours prior to the date of the swim. Course maps and additional details will also be included.
5. Swimmers may enter the beach area 15 min prior to their start time in the "on deck" area while maintaining appropriate social distancing (6-ft apart).
6. Swimmers will proceed to the start when called and be sent in pairs 1 min apart.
7. Each Swimmer will be required to have a personal swim buoy (Safer Swimmer, tow float) for each swim.
8. Support kayaks will be on the course for safety.
