New Information

Minnetonka Invite & May All-Levels Meet Results: It was a busy weekend of racing across the board for Riptide. We were racing long course in Rochester and short course here at home. We are seeing consistently strong efforts and results across all age groups. The coaching staff is excited for a great championship season this summer! You may find MTKS results and All-Levels results on the website.

Tyr Pro Bloomington Results: Regan Smith had a successful meet on the 4th stop of the Tyr Pro Series. She won the 50/100/200 backstrokes, finished 2nd in the 100/200 fly and 5th in the 50 fly.

New Long Course Meet Opportunity: We added a new long course meet to our schedule for the following practice groups: 8&U, Bronze, Silver, Gold, MSTS and Senior 1. This outdoor meet is being hosted by the Mantas Swim Club in Mankato, June 28 to 30. If you have any questions, please contact your swimmer's lead coach.

Locker Room Parents: Parents…this is a friendly reminder that you need to refrain from entering the locker rooms at Bluewater. USA Swimming has very detailed Safe Sport policies that strictly prohibit adults in the locker rooms. Please make every effort to adhere to this policy and to cooperate with coaches and staff.

Ongoing Updates & Reminders

Private Lessons: If you’re interested in private lessons for your swimmer, please speak to your coach or email Paul Smith.

HSTS Practice Calendar: We ask our HSTS families to please keep an eye on their team unify practice calendars during the spring season. Due to ISD pool space issues, the HSTS group will occasionally practice at Valley Middle School or at Rosemount Middle School.

College Swimmer Ceremony: We invite you to join us on Wednesday, May 29th at 3pm, to celebrate our college swimming-bound Seniors. We’ll gather in the Bluewater lobby for 15 minutes at the beginning of our Senior Elite & Senior 2 practices to acknowledge the hard work these athletes have done during their time at Riptide and to wish them well going forward. Drinks and light snacks will be served. Please join us!

Long Course Summer Surcharge: On June 15th, the following practice rosters will be charged their annual summer long course surcharge. These fees partially off-set our 50-meter lane expenses in Northfield and Bloomington.

  • Sr Elite & Sprint - $75
  • Sr 2 - $70
  • Sr 1 - $60
  • Jr-Select - $60
  • Gold - $40

2019 Zone Open Water Swimming Championships: We have a great opportunity for those interested in Open Water Swimming. Open Water Zones will take place in Pleasant Prairie, WI June 13/14, in their purpose-built facility. This is a safe and fun environment for our athletes. Anyone interested in more information, please contact Coach Amy for details.

Bluewater Dryland/Lobby Behavior: A reminder to our parents to please supervise your children in the Bluewater dryland areas. We are seeing an increasing number of siblings climbing/playing on equipment. Thank you for your consideration.
