Emily Escobedo named to 2021 Short Course Worlds to represent Team USA!

Jon Hulbert

Emily Escobedo, resident Condor at our Mark Twain location, has been named to Team USA's 2021 Short Course World Championship team. Emily will be representing Team USA in the 100&200 Breaststrokes. Way to go, Emily!

This season also marks Emily's 5th straight season of being named to the National Team, a huge honor for even just a singular achievement. To do so 5 years running is unparalleled except by some of the USA's most elite swimmers. As Condors, we should be so proud to call her ours, and to have her work ethic, leadership and guidance around us in Yonkers every day.

Some of Emily's other most notable accomplishments during her career include, but are not restricted to:

  • Gold & Silver medalist at the 2019 World University games as a member of Team USA
  • 3rd Place finish in the 200 Meter Breaststroke at 2020 [2021] US Olympic Team Trials
  • 8th Place finish in the 100 Meter Breaststroke at the 2020 [2021] US Olympic Team Trials
  • 4-Time NCAA Division 1 Qualifier and 2-time Bronze Medalist
  • Multiple TYR Pro Swim Series wins in the 200 and 100 Meter Breaststrokes

As she adds another honor to her resume this season, let us all look forward to her races in Abu Dahbi this December.
