Coach Nevill has been part of Condors since 2005. He swam for 4 years on the team, and in 2009 began working for Condors as a lifeguard and swim instructor where he gained a passion for teaching kids how to swim. He also swam for the Clarkstown Swim Team throughout high school. In late 2016, Nevill was brought on as an assistant coach for Pre-Team, Future Stars, Bronze and Junior Varsity. He finds joy in seeing the kids he taught in lessons make their way up through the ranks of the swim team. He graduated Stony Brook University with a B.S. in Mathematics and currently works as an age group coach, Meet Director, and Admin Official for the Condors.

I've been a competitive swimmer since the age of 12-17. I was a swimmer at the Yonkers YMCA , which I also where I started teaching swim lessons, lifeguard classes, and coaching. I began coaching my last year of swimming in 2008 for the Yonkers ymca. I stepped away from coaching till 2017 where I came back to coach at the YMCA. After a year of coaching the Yonkers team I joined Condors in 2018. Shortly after returning to coaching, I was reminded that the reason I coach is for the children. I am happy to say that coach was correct; ever since returning to the sport the children brought a deep passion for the sport of swimming out of me, and they inspire me to be a better coach. My hope is when my work at Condors is done I don’t just develop great swimmers but great men and women.
