Every year Metropolitan Swimming selects a handful of coaches, nominated by their peers, to be awarded recognition for the efforts over the past season. This year, Metro has seen fit to recognize Coach Jon for his work with his Senior Group at Mark Twain.

The criteria for the "Major Player" award is described as such: Lead Coach of a Senior program that has shown significant growth throughout the 2018 Long Course and 2019 Short Course Seasons.

This is an exciting award for anyone on our staff to receive, and we are extremely proud for yet another member of our Condors staff to be recognized by Metro for their efforts (Head Coach Jim Wargo was awarded Senior Coach of the Year in 2017). It serves as not only to a testament to Coach Jon's hard work down at our Mark Twain facility, but, more importantly, as recognition for the oustanding efforts of his athletes over the past season. There has been significant growth and success through the ranks in Yonkers, and we are excited as the site continues to grow and contribute to all of our successes as Condors.

Congratulations to Coach Jon, and his Senior Group! This is a recognition we are sure they will all revel in together.
