Sebastian Smith (PATS) Qualifies for U.S. Olympic Team Trials in the 100 Butterfly

Congratulations to Sebastian Smith of Patriots Swim Team, and Drexel University Dragons Swimming on qualifying for the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Swimming Trials in the Men's 100 LCM Butterfly. 

Smith swam a 53.51 during the Friday night Finals at Senior Mets, and was the top seed after going 53.96 in the prelims. According to Patriots Head Coach Bob Vializ, Smith had previously been coached primarily by Marc Rizzo who passed away in March 2023. Smith is scheduled to swim the 200 IM, 50 Free, 100 Back, and 100 Free later in the Championship.

Smith becomes the 16th swimmer from the Metro LSC to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Team Trials.
