Mission:  Metropolitan Swimming shall promote, develop and improve competitive swimming through education, support and opportunities for participation to a diverse swimming community.

Vision:
To inspire and provide quality opportunities for our members to achieve excellence in the sport of competitive swimming.

Metropolitan Swimming stands with our community against racist actions, incendiary statements, and violence against any person. This means we must engage individuals throughout our member community in tough conversations about inequalities, identify the signs of systematic racism, and share proven solutions.

As New York and surrounding areas begin to reopen pools please refer to your state and local government policies and guidelines. You will need to work with your facility to be sure all guidelines are followed.

Metro Board has voted to open sanctions to meets providing all local, state, federal and USA Swimming protocols are followed.  All sanction forms, plus the additional return to competition sanction form and proper paperwork must be submitted no later than one week prior.

To our Metropolitan Swim Family,

As we continue our slow, but steady, back to competitions, we want to thank you for taking necessary protocols when covid cases have been detected around your club.  Remember, our first concern is always for the health and safety of our members.

As restrictions begin to lift, we continue to ask that you continue to be especially vigilant with your health and safety.  Please be sure you are following all COVID related protocols – hand washing, masks, social distancing and quarantining. If you are not feeling well – stay home!

If you are traveling, please abide by the quarantine guidelines provided by state and local governments. These guidelines are updated all the time.  Please remember that your actions during this time may affect many other.  We want you all to be safe and healthy, as well as those you come in contact with.

We are going through very trying times, but with your due diligence, we can continue to provide space for practice and meets and hopefully continue to reopen our facilities and return to a new normal.

Be Safe, Be Healthy.
