NDAC Head Coach
Group 4 Coach

Kevin Storrs

Kevin Storrs, NDAC's founding Head Coach, has been involved with the sport of swimming since childhood. He started assisting with swim lessons at the Dutchess County YMCA at the age of 13 and has not been far from the water or pool since.

Coach Storrs’ first swim coaching job was as Head Coach of the Dutchess Devilfish at the Y in Poughkeepsie (1981-1985). From there, he moved on to the Marist Swim Club as Age Group Coach and Assistant Senior Coach (1986-1994).

Through the combined efforts and vision of Coach Storrs, the dedication of a cadre of local swim parents and the cooperation of Bard College, NDAC was born in the summer of 1994.

For the past 25 seasons, NDAC has steadily progressed to become one of the premier 'small market' clubs in Metropolitan Swimming. Coach Storrs and NDAC have regularly qualified and sent swimmers to the region’s most prestigious meets including Junior Olympics, Senior Metropolitan Championships, Speedo Sectional Championships, NCSA Junior Nationals and USA Junior Nationals.

Coach Storrs was Metropolitan Swimming’s Senior Coach of the Year in 2010. As an ASCA Level 4 Coach, he is constantly working to adapt the NDAC program to the latest trends and science emerging to improve our sport.

Besides Coach Storrs’ passion for competitive swimming and NDAC, he runs the Red Hook community pool in the summer and is involved with local efforts to promote the sport. Coach Storrs retired from his career as an AP Social Studies teacher in 2020.

NDAC is at its core a swimming family dedicated to old school YMCA values, focusing on not only the physical development of our swimmers but also the mental and emotional sides of the student athlete.

Coach Storrs lives in Red Hook with his wife Deb, daughter Mackenzie and Doodle the spoiled Pujon.

NDAC Coach
Group 3

Jenna Tocco

Coach Jenna started her swimming career as a member of the Kerhonkson Barracuda summer swim team at the age of 6.  She became a year-round USA Swimming swimmer at age 8 for the Kingston Hurricanes where she swam competitively until she graduated high school.

Coach Jenna attended Division I Stony Brook University on Long Island where unfortunately her competitive swimming career came to a halt due to necessary renovations to the natatorium that made it impossible for her to compete in a college meet.  She still attended every practice at 7am and prepared for Division I competition. She graduated in 2016 with a degree in Environmental Design, Policy and Planning with a minor in Sustainability Studies.

Coach Jenna currently coaches Division III Men's and Women's Swimming at Bard College and spends her summers as an Assistant Coach for her hometown Kerhonkson Barracudas.
