Hello Team,
Happy Sunday! Thanks all for another great week of training. We appreciate how hard you have all been working and we are eager to get back to racing soon! There are a lot of unusual practice times this week due to ongoing school events and meets. Please review and be sure to mark these correct times and locations on your calendars.
Important reminders: Tomorrow (1/09) is the LAST day to enter the Travel Meet. IMX has been canceled. We are looking for Seniors and Juniors to volunteer for our Beginner Program.

Beginner / Beginner Plus
All beginner and Beginner Plus members: Please be reminded that mask use on the pool deck is being strictly enforced by the school district. All parents and swimmers must be wearing their masks when entering and leaving the pool and the facilities. It is important for SSC to maintain a positive relationship with the school district, which requires all club members and swimmers to abide by these masking protocols. All Swimmers must wear their masks to and from the pool’s edge before entering/exiting the pool for practice. We will be providing plastic baggies for all who need them to keep their masks dry and will be improving our systems for managing this process.
Staging/walking down to your group’s practice: Please be advised that we are attempting to streamline this process of staging your swimmers and escorting them to their practice sessions. East can be a bit intimidating, so we recommend that parents escort their child to the staging area there (nearby the main pool entryway). If late, you are permitted to walk your child to the shallow end of the pool to join their practice group. We will be sending a coach over to these locations to assist with this at the start of practices. Staging at North will be in the bleachers. Please follow signage to sit/stage your swimmers with their appropriate groups before practice.
Locker room use: Please be advised that locker room use is strictly for swimmers. Parents are NOT PERMITTED to use the locker rooms or to escort their children into the locker rooms at all. Deck changing is also STRICTLY PROHIBITED. If your swimmer cannot change on their own, we recommend coming prepared with cover-clothes like sweats, towel pants, etc., and towels to dry off and exit the pool deck appropriately.
Community Service: We are once again extending our offer for community service hours to our Senior and Junior Swimmers. If you are interested in helping out, please email Coach Kyle to get an assignment this coming Wednesday or Saturday. Please consider helping out with the upcoming practices if you are available and if you need additional community service hours. It is a great way to give back to the SSC community and give our newest members a better head start.
