Senior Group

August 22, 2022 through July 28, 2023

Please do NOT register for the program until your swimmer has been evaluated by the coaching staff and you have been placed in the appropriate training group. Registrations without an evaluation will NOT be approved.

Open to all new and returning swimmers 13 and over, and select younger swimmers that have achieved Zone or Sectionals times (placement at the discretion of the coaching staff). Senior swimmers are expected to participate in six (6) practices per week (Monday - Saturday) for 120 minutes.  In addition, the Senior Group will have dryland up to three time (3x) per week for thirty to forty-five (30-45) minutes.  The Senior Group focuses on advanced stroke mechanics and technique refinement, while targeting aerobic, anaerobic-glycolytic, and anaerobic energy systems through varied training methods that prepare swimmers to compete in local, regional, and national championship level meets.

Senior Group Requirements are as follows:

*Compete in a minimum of six (6) meets per short course season

*Maintain an average practice attendance of at least 5 practices per week.

*Compete in ALL the necessary events to achieve an IMR and IMX score during each short course season  (see website her for complete details).

*All qualifying Senior athletes are required to attend all championship qualifying swim meets to the degree practical (Sectionals, Junior Olympics, Zones, Sr Mets, etc.) in coordination with the Head Coach. All members should expect automatic entry in all qualifying events for individuals that achieve relative cut times.
